I figured one of the hardest things about not being able to visit Carson is that you can't hear what he would say. Well, tonight during our visit I decided to start recording our conversation. I apologize for my annoying laugh and comments. Carson bit his tongue at some point, they are not sure when, but it is a red on the tip of it. He also has a neck brace on still, which doesn't give him full range to open his mouth all the way. Those to things, plus his difficulty breathing, might make it a little difficult to understand, but It should mostly be coherent. As the night went on Carson got more and more lively, we finished by reading everybody's letters. After about a 2 hour visit, Carson started to get tired. That was a very good amount of time for him to be conscious and talking. Hopefully the opportunity for others to visit will come soon!
Immediately before I started recording Carson was mentioning a few things that I mentioned in the post about the conversation I had with his parents. He said, "When it happened I immediately knew that this is what God wanted. I wasn't afraid, I wasn't sad, I wasn't angry, I felt peace and I knew that everything was going to be okay."
I asked him if he felt any pain upon impact. He said that at first he didn't feel any pain, then as the shock wore off the pain was tremendous. It was then that I started recording. Enjoy!
